Today, (May 8, 2020) Xiaomi's gaming brand Black Shark has announced the beginning of open sales for its latest generation of flagship phones, the 3 and 3 Pro. These devices pack the Snapdragon 865 SoC, along with some genre-specific hardware tweaks. However, only some SKUs are actually available to order at present.

European consumers in search for a 2020 flagship-level phone now have a new option in their market. The Black Shark 3 series rocks the premium Snapdragon 865 processor, along with 90Hz screens that exceed 6.6. inches in diagonal length. However, prospective buyers should also note their extra features, not the least of which is their physical, retractable shoulder buttons, which go well with their general gamer esthetic.

These phones have now officially been launched in Europe. However, only the vanilla 3 variant, in its 8GB RAM /128GB configuration, is available to purchase at present. It is priced at €599 (~US$650) - for comparison, the similarly-spec'd OnePlus 8 is €699 (~$760) in the same region. The 3 also has a 12GB/256GB option, which now costs €729 (~$790); however, it is not yet in stock.

Similarly, the Black Shark 3 Pro is now live on this brand's EU webstore, although it is yet to gain pricing or availability information. However, its currently-available smaller sibling is now marketed alongside new compatible accessories, as will it whenever it is finally released.

They include a Magnet Charging Cable, which sticks onto a specially-designed connector found on the rear panel of this new 3 series in order to provide an 18 watt (W) alternative to wireless charging. It is priced at €24.90 (~$26.99), although Black Shark is adding one free to the first 100 buyers to order a Black Shark 3 in Europe today.
