Lenovo has already affirmed the development of a "Legion Phone" within its company. This phone may compete well against more established gaming phone brands such as Black Shark or Asus ROG, presuming it upholds the pedigree of its own name in this new space.
It may also be expected to offer specs such as the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and, based on its latest renders, a design language likely to go with its use-case. However, a new leak makes a much less believeable claim in conjunction with this upcoming mobile device.
It comes in the form of a poster, the artwork of which may point to a charging rate of no less than 90 watts (W) in the upcoming Lenovo product. It does indeed integrate the appropriate logos in a rather convincing manner, and is arranged so as to possibly hint at a wired power system.
Therefore, should this tip prove valid, the "Legion Gaming Phone" may dethrone the current Android charging champion (OPPO's Ace2 5G). Then again, the putative spec does seem to good to be true. In fact, it recalls a similar situation in which the Nubia Red Magic 5G (with which Lenovo has also compared itself in hyping the device in question) was touted to offer 80W charging prior to its launch, only to turn up later with a 55W standard.
On that note, this is also the only rate acknowledged by Lenovo in relation to its upcoming 2020 gaming phone thus far. As to the battery under discussion as a result of this leak, it is suspected as having a capacity of 5000mAh, although nothing is definite as yet.
