Lenovo's gaming brand Legion has become linked to an entry into the motherboard space. Apparently, it will kick things off in this vein with those for Intel Comet Lake and Comet Lake-S processors. This leak is based on images of boards with corresponding chipsets for both series.

Comet Lake-S is an upcoming Intel CPU series likely to offer variants such as the Core i5-10600K, i7-10700 and i9-10900. They are compatible with 400-series chipsets such as B460. These specs have apparently come up in a new leak posted to Weibo. It purports to show motherboards in the works at Lenovo, to be sold under the Legion brand.

Its images do indeed seem to show a board that integrates a B460; moreover, there is also one that may be associated with the 300-series, which would mean that at least 1 of these putative Lenovo Legion products may support Comet Lake processors.

The components - which inhabit a category the brand in question is yet to become established in - seem to exhibit features such as Wi-Fi modules and dual M.2 slots. Then again, this is a very preliminary indication of their actual existence: it may take far more than a couple of logos applied to some heatsinks to make a whole new line of motherboards, after all.
