The Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro were one of the first phones to launch with the Snapdragon 865, and the Black Shark 3S will continue that trend with the Snapdragon 865 Plus, with the company confirming that it will be launched on July 31.
While details of the Black Shark 3S remain unknown, it's expected that the gaming device will adopt the new Snapdragon 865 Plus, following in the footsteps of the Asus ROG Phone 3 and Lenovo Legion, both of which are also gaming phones. The Black Shark 3 made do with a 90 Hz, and the Black Shark 3S will likely improve on that, perhaps with a 120 Hz panel.
The Black Shark 3 had a 599 Euros starting price tag, and the Black Shark 3S is expected to be priced similarly, especially since it will have a Tencent version which should be even more affordable than the regular retail model. Hopefully, Xiaomi manages to sort out the battery life on the Black Shark 3S, as we found it to be rather disappointing on the Black Shark 3 despite its decently large 4720 mAh capacity.
