Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 benchmark numbers confirm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 parity for OnePlus Ace 3V-bound chipset
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 will debut shortly, perhaps even as early as next week at the now-confirmed Snapdragon product launch event. The chipset has been tipped to deliver flagship-grade CPU performance, and new benchmarks now confirm those claims.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is expected to power OnePlus's upcoming Ace 3V, and the device has now made a trip to Geekbench with the chipset onboard. The Ace 3V and its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 earn a single-core score of 1848 on Geekbench 6.0, and a multi-core score of 5007. Comparatively, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 averages a single-core score of 1940 and a multi-core score of 5170.
According to Digital Chat Station, it'll be a similar matter on AnTuTu, with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 tipped to achieve a total score in the region of 1.5 million—identical to a device like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The Geekbench listing also confirms important details of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Its Cortex-X4 core will be clocked at 2.8 GHz, the four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.61 GHz, and three Cortex-A520 scores at 1.9 GHz. On the GPU end will be an Adreno 732, which achieves a score of 8963 on Geekbench's Vulkan test. The listing also reveals a 7986 OpenCL score. Both of those results are within the scope of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy's performance.
