MagyarSamsung Q995GC flagship soundbar with SmartThings Hub was just unveiled
Samsung has revealed the Q995GC soundbar, its latest product in the Q series. Details about the new gadget were unveiled on the company's German site. This is the first soundbar from the brand to have an integrated Samsung SmartThings hub, allowing you to use the speaker to control other smart home devices. For example, you could use Amazon Alexa voice commands to trigger a smart bulb. The high-end 11.1.4 channel soundbar has 11 channels, a subwoofer and four speakers, which radiate upward, delivering a 360° audio experience.
Q-Symphony technology lets you sync the Q995GC to other speakers, optimizing the sound from the TV across your setup. The 2023 version of the feature enables the soundbar to access the TV's Neural Processing Unit, which allows it to enhance speech clarity. Other tools include SpaceFit Sound Pro and Adaptive Sound 2.0, plus the soundbar is compatible with Dolby Atmos. You can optimize the speaker's output for gaming with Game Mode Pro 2.0, suppressing background noise and making it easier to locate things using sound. The gadget also supports Apple AirPlay 2, enabling you to cast content from your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
The Samsung Q995GC soundbar will launch in Germany on March 14th alongside the brand's new TVs. It is unclear how much the device will cost. For context, an older model, the HW-Q990B/ZA 11.1.4ch Soundbar, typically retails for US$1,897.99; the gadget is now selling for the reduced price of US$1,497.99 at Amazon US. It is unclear whether the speaker will also launch in other markets.
