Sony has finally brought the WH-CH520 to market after numerous leaks. The Sony WH-CH520 comes in three colours with up to 50 hours of battery life and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, among other features.

The WH-CH520 is Sony’s latest pair of budget headphones. As such, the WH-CH520 lacks active noise cancellation (ANC) or other such advanced features, unlike the WH-CH720N. However, the former retails for a third of the latter in the US. Incidentally, Sony has positioned the WH-CH520 for half the price of a pair of WH-CH720N in the UK.

Regardless, the WH-CH520 weighs approximately 147 g and features 30 mm drivers. According to Sony, the headphones support DSEE upscaling, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and up to 50 hours of battery life. Additionally, the WH-CH520 offers basic audio format compatibility, with AAC and SBC codec support provided.

As expected, the WH-CH520 comes in three colour options. While Sony’s website suggests that the colours have vibrant finishes, all are relatively muted, even the blue option. The WH-CH520 is already orderable in the US, where it retails for US$59.99. In comparison, the headphones cost £49.99 in the UK and €69 in the Eurozone. Seemingly, Sony will start shipping the WH-CH520 from early March in other markets, Eurozone and UK included.
