Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4: Leaker raises hype for the August-bound foldable with list of improvements over the Z Fold3
Samsung's next-gen premium foldable phone is on the way. The South Korean company is scheduled to launch the Galaxy Z Fold4 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Buds Pro 2 in August and a new leak has now provided some information to hype up expectant fans.
As revealed by leaker @TheGalox_, the Galaxy Z Fold4 will land with several improvements over the Galaxy Z Fold3. For one, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is said to feature improved UTG over the one on the Galaxy Z Fold3. The Z Fold2, Z Fold3, and OPPO's Find N all use Ultra-Thin Glass instead of plastic as their displays, with the Z Fold3's supposedly being supplied by Schott.
The leaker also claims the Galaxy Z Fold4 will be slimmer than the Galaxy Z Fold3. The Z Fold3 measures in at 6.4 mm when unfolded versus the Z Fold2's 6.9 mm, so Samsung appears to be pushing a slimmer profile. That said, rumors claim the Galaxy Z Fold4 will feature a built-in S-Pen slot a la Galaxy S22 Ultra. It's unknown how that would affect the phone with regards to thickness.
Lastly, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is tipped to adopt the Galaxy S22 Ultra's camera design, while also sporting a new, smaller hinge for a cleaner look. Fans will be hoping that translates into a less noticeable crease like on the OPPO Find N.
