With the Galaxy Watch Classic lineup effectively dead and replaced by the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Samsung wearable enthusiasts still have the Galaxy Watch 7. Fundamentally, it is a Galaxy Watch Ultra with a cheaper price tag and less premium materials. Contrary to earlier leaks, both offer identical features, making the Galaxy Watch 7 an attractive buy for those who don't want to drop 700 Euros on a smartwatch.
Like its predecessors, the Galaxy Watch 7 is offered in 40 and 44 mm flavours. The former comes with a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen (432 x 432) and the latter with a 1.5-inch (480 x 480) panel. Similarly, the 40 mm version comes with a 300 mAh battery while the 44 mm variant ups it to 425 mAh. Samsung says the Galaxy Watch 7 can sustain up to 5 ATM pressure (vs 10 on the Watch Ultra) and comes with MIL-STD-810H certification.
Under the hood, the smartwatch uses Samsung's new 3 nm Exynos W1000 SoC and comes with 32 GB storage (21 GB usable) and 2 GB RAM. Other features include a dual-frequency GPS system (L1 + L5), Glonass, Beidou, Galileo. Its health features include Samsung's BioActive sensor, an infrared temperature sensor, and body composition detector (BIA sensor). The price of each SKU is as follows:
- Galaxy Watch 7 Bluetooth (44 mm): €349
- Galaxy Watch 7 LTE (44 mm): €399
- Galaxy Watch 7 Bluetooth (40 mm): €319
- Galaxy Watch 7 LTE (40 mm): €369
