New Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra leak reveals silver, grey and black colours with striking Apple Watch Ultra similarities
The Galaxy Watch Ultra has appeared online again before its official release. To recap, Samsung briefly listed the smartwatch on a support website last week, confirming its model number, retail name, case size and LTE connectivity in the process. Shortly afterwards, YTECHB discovered alleged Galaxy Watch Ultra pricing through a European retailer, which aligned with other recent pricing rumours.
Now, Evan Blass shared almost a dozen images of Samsung's first 'Ultra' branded smartwatch, which we have reproduced below. In short, Samsung is doing little to hide that it has drawn on the designs of the Apple Watch Ultra and Watch Ultra 2 (curr. $719 on Amazon). For example, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is Samsung's only smartwatch that features an Apple-like quick-release band system embedded within its chassis. By contrast, the Galaxy Watch7 series maintains Samsung's existing system, which Blass has confirmed in a separate set of leaked product images.
Additionally, Samsung will ship the Galaxy Watch Ultra with an Apple Watch Ultra-adjacent silicone watch band. Moreover, Samsung has given its 'Ultra' smartwatch a few orange accents here and there, as well as a crown guard and right-mounted buttons. With that being said, Samsung will offer the Galaxy Watch Ultra in multiple colours, including a black option, which Apple has failed to do so far with any of its Watch Ultra smartwatches. As expected, the Galaxy Watch Ultra has a 47 mm case, along with 10 ATM water resistance and a Sapphire Crystal display, among other features.
