RedMagic continues to tease details about its forthcoming gaming tablet after releasing its 10S Pro smartphone series last month in China. This time, RedMagic has turned to the display it has installed inside the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, which it has already confirmed will span 9.06 inches diagonally.
According to the company, this compact panel will use OLED technology rather IPS like the Legion Tab and iPad mini 7 (curr. $489 on Amazon). As a result, the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro will deliver excellent colour accuracy and what RedMagic regards as a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. On top of that, the tablet's display is rated for up to 1,600 nits, although it remains to be seen whether this applies across its entire panel or just a small portion of it.
Regardless, the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro also offers a 165 Hz refresh rate that it may be capable of dropping to as low as 10 Hz. Moreover, the tablet delivers a 2,000 Hz touch response rate thanks to its RedMagic's 'Magic Touch 3.0' aided by a Synaptics S3930 touch controller. The alleged improvements that this brings can be found in the video below, during which RedMagic compares the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro against Apple's latest iPad mini. RedMagic will unleash the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro in China on June 11; there is no word on global availability yet, though.
