Ayaneo has finally provided more information about the Pocket S2, having initially unveiled the device during the Game Developers Conference 2025 (GDC 2025). To recap, the company previously confirmed that the Pocket S2 would replace the Pocket S with a larger display and a more powerful Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset. Now, it has revealed the Pocket S2 contains the following other hardware:
- 6.3-inch IPS display, 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, 400 nits SDR/600 nits HDR, 466 PPI
- LPDDR5X-8533 RAM
- UFS 3.1 (128 GB SKU only)/UFS 4.0 flash storage
- 8,000 mAh battery
- TMR, electromagnetic joysticks
- CNC metal midframe
In other words, the Pocket S2 matches the Ayn Odin2 (curr. $399 on Amazon) when it comes to battery capacity despite coming in at about 6.5% thinner. Ayaneo also boasts that the Pocket S2 will be capable of pulling up to 20 W of power from its Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset, although it remains to be seen how this translates into real-world performance.
Unfortunately, Ayaneo is unlikely to deliver to the Pocket S2 before the end of May as it previously suggested. Nonetheless, it has offered a fresh hint about the device's impending availability. Ayaneo has also outlined that the Pocket S2 will be available globally through Indiegogo, the listing for which can already be viewed in its preview state. Added to that, the company suggests that an 'official launch event is coming soon'. In the meantime, please see the video below for more details.
