The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in October in China, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. Leaks also point to major display changes. A new leak suggests the phone will utilize the next-gen BOE X3 Oriental screen.

The OnePlus 13 launched in November 2024 in China. It featured the BOE X2 Oriental screen, which received DisplayMate's highest display grade of A++. Now there is a new leak revealing details of the upcoming OnePlus 15’s display.

Digital Chat Station on Weibo reveals that the alleged Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered OnePlus 15 will use BOE’s third-generation Oriental screen. The tipster indicates that the announcement of BOE's alleged X3 Oriental panel is imminent. This seems to be done in a similar fashion to last year’s OnePlus 13, where the display details were revealed ahead of the phone’s launch.

As far as leaks suggest, the OnePlus 15 will feature a display size of 6.78 inches. It is said to have a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the OnePlus 13 (curr. $873 on Amazon) has a larger 6.82-inch display with a 2K resolution but a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Other leaked highlights include a large battery capacity of around 7,000mAh, 120W wired fast charging, and a new design language. The flagship phone is expected to debut in October in China along with the more affordable OnePlus Ace 6. In other news, the Chinese company is also said to be working on a new budget Turbo series of smartphones.
