Always Innovating, a California based company debuts a new netbook called the Touchbook. It features an 8.9 inch touch panel hence the name, and a detachable qwerty keyboard. Always Innovating has claimed it to have a battery life of 10 to 15 hours, this is because each section, keyboard and monitor has its own battery.
The TouchBook will be running on a OMAP3 ARM Chip with an 8 GB microSD card for storage all in a package weighing roughly 2 pounds.
The TouchBook also has 6 USB ports, 3 of which are internal. The reasoning behind this is so that consumers don't have to remove USB dongles everytime the TouchBook is packed away.
The screen section alone will have a price of $299 and $399 with the keyboard.
