Acer and Asus expect to sell more netbooks as they originally anticipated.
The internet news site Digitimes report, that the manufactures Acer and Asus want to sell more netbooks in 2009 as they expected. Probably one reason is that Acer sold a lot more netbooks in December than they thought. They disposed about 500.000 devices in the USA in one month.
Therefore, Acer changed their expected sales figures of 2009 from 12 to 13 million netbooks. Asus also sold a lot of netbooks in the last quarter of 2008 and the manufacturer also changed its expected sales figures. They want to dispose about 7.1 to 7.3 million netbook until the end of 2009.
