You get the sleek Adamo for much less now

Dell has slashed the price of its Adamo ultraportable notebook to match Apple's recent MacBook Air updates that came last month in which the latest 15” Macbook Air was made available at a much cheaper $1499, although it was the base model.

The base Adamo model with a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD now costs the same $1,499 as the entry 1.86GHz MacBook Air. The higher-end model has dropped the price to $2,299 but is still more expensive than its $1,799 Mac counterpart. Although reduced the price, Dell did not compromise on the specs. It still has its 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo and 128GB SSD but comes with 4GB of RAM and a built-in 3G.

Dell unveiled a host of new products at the last CES, the Adamo being one of the main attractions. They even trotted a fashion model to show off this piece. This computer features a Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 (3MB cache/1.2GHz/800Mhz FSB), 13.4-inch 1366×768 resolution LCD, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD, Intel GS45 graphics card with 256MB of memory, Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth and Vista Home Premium.
