This model now has three variants
Good news for Asus Eee PC fans who wanted to see their favorite netbook run on Linux operating system. Asus has just added a Linux OS option on the Eee PC 1001HA netbook. As you all know this model of Asus is just the entry level model. The Eee PC 1001HA will be offered in three variants:
- 1001HA XP with Windows XP operating system
- 1001HA LX with Linux operating system
- A bare model that comes with no operating system at all
The configuration of these netbooks remains the same though i.e. :
- 10.1-inch 1,024 x 600 display
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 160GB hard-drive
- 3-cell Li-ion 2,200mAh battery
The exterior casing gets a new geometric texture and also gets the styling of the Seashell series. The company hasn't revealed the pricing yet. It is quite obvious though that the model without an operating system will be the cheapest, followed by the Linux model and then the Windows XP model.
