The Acer Aspire Timeline AS180T and AS1810TZ are lined up for pre-order
Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the Acer Aspire Timeline AS180T and AS1810TZ, both of which will be available on Thursday, October 22nd. This date coincides with Windows 7 release date to bring out these notebooks with Win 7 preloaded.
Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810T is powered by 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CULV processor accompanied by the Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card. It sports an 11.6” display screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 320GB HDD (moving @ 5400 rpm). Connectivity is taken care of by the 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, Ethernet, as well as various I/O ports like HDMI, VGA, 3 USB ports, card reader. The 6-cell 5600mAh battery should be good for near 8 hrs (as the company claims). Other features include,

CULV is coming up in the manufacturer’s mind in a big way, as they serve big in saving energy, giving more battery life – ideal for netbooks. Their performance is also much better than the usual N270/N280s. Still, if you don’t need the extended battery life, dual core processor, extra RAM and hard disk space and Windows 7, you can still pick up an Acer Aspire 1410 with Windows Vista for about $150 less.
