Acer's 1410 and 4810T have been marked with the Olympic logo; what else has changed?
According to Akihabaranews.com, Acer has manufactured limited edition versions of the Aspire 1410 and 4810T notebooks. They will be marked with the Olympic logo to represent Acer's sponsorship of the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver.
The 1410's processor has apparently been upgraded in the Olympic edition, from a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron 743 to a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron Dual Core SU2300; but no other improvements, which differ from the original specification on Acer's website have been reported.
An Aspire 1410 costs 430,60 euros at the moment (as seen on Amazon.fr), and the Olympic version is supposedly 435 euros. There is no news regarding the 4810T's new specifications, nor about its price.
It's not clear yet whether Acer is planning to sell these notebooks via the Olympic Store, or through their usual retailers. To find out more about the original Acer 1410 and 1810T, you can read reviews of them here.
