The manufacturer Elonex wants to present its “One” at February the 28th of 2008. It is designed for the area of education in Great Britain, and will cost only £ 99,-. This price does not include any taxes, but that’s not unusual when it’s made for students. The manufacturer wants to get exoneration from the value added tax, and is searching for sponsors. That’s the only way for selling “One” for that low price. The notebook will be equipped with a flash hard disk, like Asus Eee PC is, and a WLAN adapter will be installed as well. Linux is used as operating system, and the battery runtime shall be about three hours. There are no more details about the other hardware, like e.g. the processor. Elonex wants to present its “One” at the Education Show in Birmingham at February the 28th of 2008.
