Pierre Cardin PC-729 UMPC makes an appearance in China

The guys at Shenzhen keep coming up with new models be it MIDs, netbooks, notebooks, or clones. This time they have come up with the Pierre Cardin PC-729 UMPC. The Shenzhen based company who has manufactured this device has a legitimate licensing deal, this means that the naming is official. The specifications of this device are as follows:
- 7-inch 800 x 480 WVGA resistive touchscreen
- 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor
- 8/16/32 GB SSD for storage
- WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS
- Three USB ports
- Windows XP operating system
- Dimensions: 199 x 127 x 21 mm
- Weight: 691g
This device comes with a 3000mAh lithium polymer battery that keeps this device running for 2.5 hrs. It also has pre-installed handwriting recognition software. There is no word on the availability yet but, it is believed that this model will be available only in the Chinese market and might not make it to the US or European markets. Users can buy this device for $436 only.
