None of the two can dominate over other
Firstly, all netbooks powered by Intel Atom have a lot in common. They basically have 9 or 10 inch screens, 1 GB RAM and hard drives equal to 160 GB with Windows XP. Same way, the Sony Vaio Mini W and Toshiba Mini NB206 have a lot in common. The two models also have chiclet-style keyboards and there is a choice of 3 or 6 cell batteries. Toshiba always comes with a better battery life whereas Sony has a higher resolution 1366 x 768 display.
While you observe these two laptops closely you will see both have touchpads with two distinct buttons. Toshiba has the wider touchpad of the two and it appears to be a bit larger overall. The keys on the keyboard are located differently in different positions on both the laptops. Toshiba Mini gives a professional look though being larger in size.
