Haier unveils Jian i7 ultra thin notebook

It is based on Intel's CULV platform
Haier, one of the top 100 IT companies of China, has just unveiled a new ultra-thin notebook called the Jian i7. This notebook is based on Intel's CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) platform and is powered by a 1.3GHz Intel Core2 Duo ULV SU7300 processor. The device is just 3.2cm thick at its maximum ( 1.8cm thick average) and it weighs only 1.4Kgs.
The guys at zol.com.cn got the chance to fiddle with the prototype of the Haier Jian i7 and they have reported the following specifications:
- 1.3GHz Intel Core2 Duo ULV SU7300 processor
- 13.4-inch LED backlit display
- Integrated graphic processor
- 2GB DDR3 RAM
- 320GB hard disk drive
- 3 USB 2.0 ports
- VGA port
- HDMI port
- 4-cell 2900mAh Li-ion battery
There is no word on pricing and availability yet, but, it is being speculated that the price of this model will be approx. 6,000 Yuan (about $882).
