It is powered by Intel’s CULV processor
A couple of days ago, an unannounced IdeaPad U450p notebook model made an appearance on Lenovo’s official website. The specifications of this model were not known but it appeared to be a larger version of the IdeaPad U350 which is powered by a CULV processor. This model was pretty soon pulled off the website. Now, Lenovo has made this model official and users can place orders for the same.
As speculated the Lenovo IdeaPad U450p is powered by Intel’s Core2 Solo CULV processor (1.3GHz SU2700 or 1.4GHz SU3500 CPU) along with either 3GB or 4GB of DDR3 RAM (1066MHz) and a 250GB/320GB (5,400rpm) hard disk drive. It is definitely bigger than the U350 as it has a 14-inch (1,366 x 768 resolution) "anti-glare" display. The U450p features contemporary design, a textured palm rest and a sleek profile. It is about an inch thick and weighs around 4.6lbs. Other features of this notebook are:
· Integrated graphics X4500
· DVD Recordable w/ X6 Ultrabase
· 6-cell Li-ion battery
· Broadcom Wi-Fi 802.11b/g or Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100
· Windows Vista Home Premium operating system
As per Lenovo’s website these models will ship in more than 4 weeks, which means they won’t ship before mid-September. The Lenovo U450p notebook is available in two models, first model (1.3GHz SU2700 CPU, 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD) is priced at $799 while the second one (1.4GHz SU3500 CPU, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD) is priced at $899.
