Rockchip on this mysterious Android MID?
Category: new notebook models, rumorsBy: Pallab Jyotee Hazarika
The rumors of this MID has been doing round for long without any confirmation…
But finally there seems to be a parent - Chinese chip maker Rockchip. This mysterious Android MID has first appeared as a series of photos on Cellphoneforums.net, without any further information. Since then the photos and numerous speculations have been doing rounds on the net. It had different names like Apple inetbook, the android iMid, and most recently the Android MID – but the company and features were not known (although many claim it to be having a very high resolution).
Although the company has turned out to be Rockchip, the bad news is that this device might be just a concept to show off its new RK2808 720p-decoding chipset.
