Verizon is set to team up with HP to provide subsidized 3G netbooks.
Verizon into netbooks? No, not really. After AT&T decided to provide netbooks at subsidized rates with its connection, Verizon too is moving in that direction. Latest is that it is teaming up with HP to provide a specialized Verizon netbook that is nothing more than a mini – as claimed by phonearena.
A leaked picture shows the 10.1-inche panel and the almost full-sized keyboard. The netbook is powered by a 1.6GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and will feature 80 GB of internal storage space. Connectivity will be taken care of by the Ethernet and WiFi along with the mobile broadband connection. This 2.4lbs machine will come pre-installed with Windows XP Home.
