The new Hackintosh in the line
Well, Apple hasnot arrived yet, but that shouldnot stop you from having some ultra-portable Mac OS fun! The HP Mini 311 netbook is the first light and thin netbook with NVIDIA ION graphics to hit the laptop market in U.S, and already we have here the people who started coaxing the OS X into it. Apparently the HP Mini 311 is a very good hackintosh candidate. They at insanelymac.com are trying to put the OS X 10.6 in the system. The HP Mini 311 OS X hacking is still a work in progress. The high resolution display and graphics are supported and Bluetooth, the card reader, Ethernet, and webcam all fine for now.
Pretty soon, the 311 could be available with Win 7, and loads of other upgradable options – as reported by netbooked. With the upgraded version, you’ll get full NVidia ION, 80GB SSD, 2GB / 3GB RAM, 250GB/350GB HDD rolling @ 5400rpm. You might get an option of not only Win 7 Basic, but also Premium and Professional (all 32-bit).
