The manufacturer Asus offers its G70 gaming notebook with 8700M GT SLI starting at £ 1.999 in Great Britain.
The Asus G70 notebook (according to Asus) is specifically designed for gamers with a fast CPU and two graphics cards in SLI mode.
It offers a 17-inch display which shows content with the WUXGA or WXGA+ resolution. It is possible to equip the notebook with an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor and the graphic is provided by two Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT in SLI mode. Furthermore, the laptop can provide a BluRay drive and Bluetooth, WLAN and Gigabit Ethernet are included to enable communication.
Still the two 8700M GT cards are not as fast as a single 8800M GTX (and even GTS) but should need more current. The speed increase compared to a single 8700M GT depends on the SLI support of the game (0-40%).
The Asus G70 is already available in the UK and starts at £ 1.999.
