ASUS laptops now not only look good but smell good too
ASUS, famous for its Eee PC brand of Netbooks has done it again, this time they have introduced Laptops which are scented. The R&D guys at ASUS must be really busy working their heads off to develop new and innovative technologies. ASUS was the first to introduce the environment friendly Bamboo series of Notebooks and now is the first to launch the scented F6V series of Laptops.
In these competitive times the manufacturers are being tried and tested to their limits and we must admit that ASUS has been at the forefront of creativity so as to battle all the odds. I mean who would have ever thought of introducing a scented laptop to appeal to the senses of the end user. There are many manufacturers out there who are coming up with new, improved and appealing designs but ASUS has taken it a step further by not only making the F6V look good but making it smell good too by adding a variety of fragrances to it. The main point to be noted here is that the scent is not all that overpowering and fades away soon until and unless it is in an enclosed area, but still it’s a new idea and ASUS should be given all the credit for it. The users can choose from different models like:
- Floral Blossom which is pink and has a flowery smell.
- Musky Black which is all dressed up in graffiti and has an earthy musk.
- Aqua Ocean has an aquatic aroma and comes with sky and wave imagery on the cover.
- Morning Dew has a pastel green shade and its fragrance is just like the freshness of early morning.
Moving on to the configuration, the ASUS F6V scented laptops will provide the user an option to choose between Intel Core2 Duo, Intel Core Duo or Intel Celeron processors with support for upto 4GB of DDR2 800MHz RAM. The 13.3-inch WXGA color shine (glare type) screen will be supported by the ASUS Splendid Video Intelligent Technology that enhances contrast, brightness, skin tone and color saturation for vivid image display. Graphics would be provided by the dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD3470 GPU.
Other features include support for upto 320GB @ 5400rpm HDD, 8-in-1 card reader, WiFi & optional Bluetooth v2.1+EDR, 3 USB ports, an e-Sata port, HDMI port and built-in Azalia compliant audio chip, with 3D effect & full duplex.
The size of the Notebook is 31.6 x 23.27 x 2.7 ~ 3.52 cm (W x D x H) with a weight of 1.99 Kg with a 3 cell battery. For security the Asus F76V has BIOS Booting / HDD User Password Protection, a Kensington lock and an optional biometric Fingerprint sensor.
The pricing and availability of these laptops are not yet known but they are said to hit streets soon.
