In case anyone is wondering what the heck that was, check out the related news. Asus showed off this keyboard during CET in January. They again teased us at CeBit. But is it going into production at all? If yes, then when? Engadget china reported it to be released by June end. It again got delayed and now there is a new launch date – October 2009.
It is supposedly unlike any other keyboard. It has its own processor in the form of a 1.6 GHz N270 Atom, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, 16 GB SSD drive. Connectivity is taken care of by Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, the wireless HDMI. There are 3 USB, VGA and audio I/O and even an HDMI port with option of wired or wireless.
This err… 1.1kg keyboard has a dimension of 145 x 425 x 24.4 mm, and should retail at about 500 euros ($713).
