Would you mind a Broadcom HD video accelerator in your Mini?
A Broadcom HD video accelerator enables watching of 1080p HD video on an Atom powered netbook that would not otherwise support such configuration. The HP Mini 2133 with a VIA C7-M CPUcan at max go to 480p, but Chris at hpmininotepc.com successfully added the Broadcom accelerator to achieve as much as 1080p playback. He got what is called the Crystal HD Enhanced Media Accelerator, and sampled Stormchasers_1080 and Robotica_720 video files which were downloaded from the Microsoft HD Content Showcase. The videos of the playback can be seen here. The 2133 could play the videos quite fine.
The Broadcom cards are available as PCI Express mini cards and for the ExpressCard 34 slot, and costs about $24.
