Packard Bell, a subsidiary of Taiwan based Acer, has started shipping the Dot M/A netbook in UK. Earlier this model was available in Belgium but, now it has expanded its foothold to UK also. The Packard Bell Dot M/A is the European version of the Gateway LT3100 (LT3103u) that was released a month back in the US. Gateway and Packard Bell are both subsidiaries of Acer and hence the specifications of these two models are the same, the only difference being the branding.

The weight of this netbook is just 1.25Kg making it ultraportable. It is available in Black color and ships with a free protection bag.
Users can buy the Packard Bell Dot M/A from Tesco Direct for £349.00 (US $575). Packard Bell products have traditionally sold through the DSGI chains in the UK (Dixons, Currys and PC World), however it is planning to increase their distribution channels. As a result, the Dot M/A will shortly be offered by Comet and Amazon as well.
