The new VNB101 has striking similarity with the S101/S101H

Viewsonic, the latest to join the Taiwanese bandwagon, comes up with yet another me-too netbook - the VNB101. The system is powered by an Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.60GHz, 533MHz FSB, 512KB L2 cache) although you might have the option of a 1.66GHz N280, sports a 10.2" Wide LCD (1024 x 600) screen, 1GB DDR2-533MHz on board and a 160GB HDD. Connectivity will be taken care of by the Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and ExpressCard/34 slot provided. It is lightweight in its design and easy to use with Windows XP Home. The company also throws in a multi-touch trackpad and Built-in stereo speaker, Built-in web camera (0.3MP or 1.3MP) and microphone as well. The standard 4800 / 3400mAh battery can give decent life. It has a 92% keyboard which is good by the size of the machine.

This 1.4kg (with battery) machine comes in not one, not two but 6 shades - Black, White, Yellow, Pink, Gold and Red. This will be released in Taiwan for now, starting what is equivalent to US $484. Availability is not known.
