AMD Turion64 X2 Processor in the 2. Quarter 2006
By: Stefan HinumAccording to rumours, the 64 bit mobile dual core processor with the code name Taylor and DDR2 support should be available starting from 9 May.
Up to now, HP, Asus, MSI and Acer plan to offer notebooks with this processor. Further manufacturers will probably succeed. Since in addition generally is assumed, that the AMD Turion 64 X2 will be offered cheaper than Intel core duo. So once again a price war is approaching. Probably Intel core duo price will answer very soon with reductions.
