HyperMac - Worlds Exclusive External Battery Pack that works with all Mac Models
Category: accessoriesBy: Raghav kapoor
Works with MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air Models
Sanho Corporation recently launched an external battery pack that can be used to power all sorts of Macs be it MacBook, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air all thanks to a proprietary technology that automatically adjusts the charging power according to the type of MacBook model it is connected to.
The HyperMac is available in four options of varying capacity i.e. 60Wh, 100Wh, 150Wh and 222Wh which promise to extend the heartbeat on your Mac by upto 32 hours on a single charge. A built-in 4 stage LED indicator tells the user the amount of battery life that is remaining. The HyperMac charging cables are spliced with the original Apple MagSafe connectors.
According to Daniel Chin the president of Sanho Corporation, HyperMac eases the strain on the internal batteries so as to extend the overall life of the hard to replace internal batteries (especially for the unibody Macbook).
What’s more is that there is a USB power port on this device that can be used to charge any USB device including the latest iPhone 3G both individually or simultaneously with a MacBook. The device not only powers the MacBook but charges the internal batteries as well. Moreover, HyperMac offers a 1 year warranty and is rechargeable upto 1000 times as compared to industry standards of 300 times and 3 months warranty. The silver color aluminum housing and all-white accessories match perfectly with the Macs.
HyperMac batteries use the same Li-Ion cells that are supplied to the U.S. military. The price of these devices is $200 (60Wh model) upwards with an increment of $100 for every subsequent model. The company has also released the HyperMac car charger which powers and recharges the MacBook directly from the automobile cigarette slot. The dimensions and weight of the variants are given below:
· Dimensions: 4.92 x 3.78 x 0.83" (60Wh); 7.48 x 4.92 x 0.8" (100Wh); 8.9 x 4.92 x 0.83" (150Wh); 10.1 x 5.91 x 1.34" (222Wh)
· Weight: 0.8 lb (60Wh); 1.6 lbs (100Wh); 2.4 lbs (150Wh); 4.7 lbs (222Wh)
