Kohjinsha Japan unveiled this new beauty as a Tablet
Kohjinsha Japan, if you remember, gave you the SK3 Tablet a while ago. Now they seem to have joined the mainstream netbook market with the 11.6” Kohjinsha EX series.
This tablet netbook sports a capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Kohjinsha is known for packing more than enough features in a small form factor, and the added optical drive and ExpressCard/34 slot and a 3.0MP Webcam with auto-focusing justifies my claim. There’s an additional 0.3MP webcam on the outside and a fingerprint reader – as reported by Netbooked.
Now you might grin at me saying the battery life must have gone for a six out of the window – but the Li-ion battery goes for a credible 4.5 hours.
On the inside, it is powered by an Atom N270 processor with a clocking of 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Intel 945GSE chipset and Windows XP Home. There are 2 USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, VGA out, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, SD Card + Micro SD Reader, audio jacks.
The Kohjinsha EX series should be available by the end of this month for about 69, 800 yen ($740).
