Asus presented their notebook sales targets for 2009
Asus introduced their notebook sales targets for the next year at a press conference in Taiwan. The manufacturer wants to sell about 20 million notebooks in 2009.
The expected notebook sales of this year are approximately 11.3 million devices. Therefore, the manufacturer wants to increase its sales by 77 percent in 2009. If Asus could manage this, they would get the 4th biggest notebook manufacturer of the world and they would be ahead of Lenovo, Toshiba and Apple.
Asus relies on their Eee PC series to reach this goal.
