A bridge between iPhone and MacBook
According to recent reports posted by AppleInsider, it seems quite evident that the Apple Tablet will soon make its way to the people who love it the most aka the Apple cult. There have been several rumored reports regarding the upcoming Apple tablet, but, this time AppleInsider is quite serious when it says that Apple tablet will be available to users as early as next year. The road has not been so smooth for Apple, as per reports, the tablet project has been in design phase since the last four years. It is believed that since Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, takes note of even the slightest details and wants things to be picture perfect, the Apple Tablet has been making internal rounds in the R&D wing for quite some time. Steve Jobs has now given the final go ahead for this project and Apple hopes to launch the tablet by early 2010.
The Apple tablet is believed to have a 10-inch screen powered by an ARM processor. For connectivity the device would use built-in 3G. There were some reports that Apple will use Intel’s Atom processor on the tablet but, it seems those reports were just rumors as Apple will use an ARM based processor courtesy of P.A. Semi (which has been purchased by Apple). ARM based processors are known for its power efficiency and higher battery life characteristics. There is also a rumor that Apple might tie-up with Verizon rather than AT&T for 3G services.
I would say keep your fingers crossed and wait for a formal announcement regarding the Apple Tablet. All the eager users waiting to get their hands on this device take a deep breath and relax.
