Asus EEE will become an own brand

The manufacturer Asus plans to make an own brand of its Eee models.
The internet news portal Digitimes reports, that Asus wants to hive their Eee models off and create an own Eee brand. This new Asus sub-brand will offer products of the non low-cost sector as well.
There will be a Eee-TV (E-TV), a Eee-desktop computer (E-DT) and a Eee monitor . Furthermore, those products are going to be introduced in the 3rd quarter of 2008.
Additinally, there will come the Eee-PC 1001 with 10" display and another model with 11" display on the market. This shall happen until the end of 2008.
