Lenovo ThinkPad X60, ThinkPad T60 and C100
By: Stefan HinumThe ultraportable ThinkPad X60 has a 12.1-inch display, is just 20mm in depth, and weighs a scant 1.67kg. Lenovo has squeezed a 1.83GHz Intel dual-core processor into the tiny chassis for efficiency and power, giving the X60 a claimed battery life of up to 11 hours.
The T60 features many of the same features, but has an integrated DVD/CD-RW drive, a better graphics card, and a fingerprint scanner as standard. Although bigger, with a 15-inch screen, the T60 still weighs a modest 2.1 kg.
Both ThinkPad products come with integrated Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi adapters, and are on sale now, the X60 costs £1220 (inc.VAT) and the T60 £ 1140
The Lenovo C100 is aimed at business users, weighs a portable 2.8kg and has a 15-inch screen. Pentium M or Celeron M processors , an integrated Wi-Fi adapter and DVD/CD-RW are standard. Bluetooth and a DVD-RW optical drive are available as options, and in base form it costs £564 (inc.VAT)
