Western Digital presents 500 GB MyPassport HDD

The manufacturer Western Digital expands its product range by new models. The external hard drives of the MyPassport series will be available with a capacity of 500 GB as well.
Western Digital introduced its new 2.5-inch notebook hard drive little time ago, and the manufacturer presents its first device, which uses this HDD. The new HDD got built into the external hard drive series MyPassport.
The drives MyPassport Elite and MyPassport Essential will be available with a capacity of 500 GB. Those external devices get connected to the computer by using an USB port and they don’t need an external power pack.
The drives are compatible to Windows and Mac OSX as well. The external hard disk Western Digital MyPassport Essential with 500 GB costs $ 199.99 (approx € 141) and the HDD MyPassport Elite costs $ 219.99 (approx € 155).
