The second Pinetrail and improved N450 coming next year in March according to the latest road-map
According to Liliputing, the Intel Atom N470 will launch in March, 2010 and will feature a much improved clock speed of 1.86GHz than the 1.66GHz N450. It will fit the same socket as the Atom N450, which makes it easier to switch.
The Intel Atom N470 will supposedly run at a clock speed of 1.83GHz and it will have a 667MHz system bus. Since, this chip is also based on the Pine Trail platform it means that the graphics and processor will be on the same chip. This processor will also support hyperthreading. This chip will have a TDP of 6.5 watts, which is significantly higher than the 2.5 watt TDP of the Atom N270 processor but, the Atom N270 chip requires a separate graphics controller, which also sucks power. The N470 will use the BGA 22x22mm packaging.
The first Pinetrail processor N450 is believed to be releasing at the start of the next year. The Intel Atom N450 processor will run at a clock speed of 1.66GHz and will use less energy than the other processors, thanks to the integrated graphics and memory control functions being on the same single chip.
It is believed that the Intel Atom N470 will run faster than the Atom N270 while using lesser energy.
