About Lenovo
Founded in 1984 by Liu Chuanzhi, Lenovo has come from the dark days to be known as one the top companies dealing in notebook line, home computers and laptops. Lenovo also claims to be the first company to introduce the concept of the home computer in the People's Republic of China. After that strategic deal with IBM (which marketed the ThinkPad line of notebook PCs) in 2005 for approximately $1.75 billion, Lenovo became a household name and this meant the beginning of a new era for the company.
Presently its headquarters are situated in Morrisville, North Carolina, United States.

About Lenovo IdeaPad U150
Lenovo IdeaPad U150 is one of the three new U series Intel ULV dual-core processing platform light notebook PCs launched by Lenovo. It is powered by an Intel dual core ULV processor with 2GB of RAM (supports up to 8GB of RAM) and 250GB of hard disk space which seems sufficient. It is equipped with Intel GMA X4500 graphics that supports DirectX 10. It's far too slow to be usable for gaming purposes. It's also a little buggy—the Parallax Occlusion Map test in 3DMark Vantage crashed the system.
Other features include:
- 11.6-inch 1366x768 pixel display
- Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1
- 1.3MP webcam
- HDMI, two USB ports, eSata/USB combo port
- 4-in-1 card reader
- Measures 0.5-inches thin and weighs 3 pounds
Lenovo Ideapad U150 has a fashionable metallic shell design with color combinations of red and black. It comes with two types of battery. First one is a three cell lithium polymer battery which gives around 3.5hrs of battery life while the second one is a high-capacity 6-cell lithium-ion battery which gives 7 hours of standby time.
The Ideapad U150 will have a starting price of $585 in the US and would be available by mid November.
