Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n in one card?

Reportedly, by grouping together solutions, customers enjoy longer battery life and higher performance since one item does the job of several.

Ralink introduced the RT3090BC4 combo card which features Bluetooth3.0+HS and Wi-Fi 802.11n and will be housed in netbooks and ultraportable devices.

Allegedly, the 802.11n WiFi in the combo card provides data rates of up to 150Mbps. According to Ralink, this new device will require less space in the mini-computers. In addition, it will be more power-efficient than other products on the market and will cost less.

Supposedly, the RT3090BC4 dynamically adjusts WLAN and Bluetooth transmissions and thus prevents interference. Moreover, it would react automatically to the settings for available nearby wireless connections.

MSI is among the first PC companies to include the combo card in its products.

There is still no information as to when the Ralink’s new product will hit the shelves.
