HP has problems with graphic chips too
Category: other notebook newsBy: Matthias Bauer
Hewlett-Packard reports, that 24 of its notebook models are affected by Nvidia’s graphic chip problems.
After Dell reported about its problems with faulty Nvidia graphic chips, HP tells that some of its notebooks are affected by those problems too. Probably, 24 laptop models are erroneous.
Hewlett-Packard wants to solve the problem by releasing a BIOS update, and this will protect against the failure. Certainly, it won’t repair the faulty graphic chip, but it increases the cooling performance and guards the GPU.
HP already released the BIOS update and it’s ready to get downloaded.
