This USB modem can connect in 175 countries
Verizon’s new modem, the AD3700 USB modem is targeted towards people who travel the world but still need constant access to the internet. This will likely be enticing for many business-men who fall into this category.
The AD3700 USB modem connects to the Verizon’s EV-DO network in the US although it also can connect to the GSM, GPRS, EDGE, HSPA, and UMTS networks. This allows it to retain connectivity in 175 countries around the world.
The modem will cost $80 with a mail-in rebate and a two year service contract. The stated price of $40 to $60 monthly for Verizon’s network will no doubt increase if you do in fact try connecting to different networks around the globe.
