Extremely light in weight and light on the pocket too
Things really are heating up twice as fast in the tablet PC world with more and more manufacturers entering this segment. The recent entrant being LBook, that has come up with a new 9-inch tablet PC named the T9. With competition soaring high its time for players like Apple and Microsoft to buckle up and rethink their marketing strategies so as to create a niche for their products. Although the above mentioned companies haven’t till date released any tablet PCs but they surely are all set to launch a few new products about which I am sure you all must have already heard.
LBook, which has been quietly selling ebook devices for a while now, plans to launch the tablet named T9 and create a niche for itself in the tablet market by early next year. The device will feature a multi touch 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. The heart of the PC will feature an Intel Atom Z530 processor with a clock frequency of 1.6GHz and it will pack in 2GB of DDR2 memory. The hard disk storage capacity will be of 120 GB and for wireless connectivity it will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options as well as optional 3G support, should you want to wander outside of a WiFi hotspot. Other features of LBook T9 include a card reader and webcam. Expected battery life is around 4 hours on a single charge which seems reasonable given the fact that the screen size and resolution is quite minimal and won’t eat much of the battery.
LBook T9 will be a small shell thickness, which should not exceed 13 mm (12.7mm). Its weighs a measly 670g. LBook T9 will probably ship in with Windows 7. With a price tag hovering between $350 and $375, it surely is a steal deal for PC enthusiasts. The notebook is expected next year during March 2010.
If all the above mentioned specs with that mouth watering price is made available than we’re in for some interesting times.
