Google Adsense becomes a source for leaked Apple advertisements

Category: rumors

Faster and more affordable Macs might be on their way to the markets

Till recently Google Adsense simply meant ‘minting money by way of ads provided by google on websites.’ For those of you who still don’t know what Google Adsense is and how it works, here is a brief description of it:

Webmasters or website administrators simply register themselves with Google, which allows them to have advertisements displayed on their websites and in return earn some money from these advertisements whenever users click on them.

But there is something more to Google Adsense in terms of it turning into a news provider as well. Netherland based Google Ads, maybe accidentally, displayed ads of new iMacs, MacBooks, and Mac Mini’s, which confirms the rumors that Apple is readying a refreshed iMac line with some affordable alternatives. It also hinted on the fact that revised and updated Mac mini, MacBook, and iMac models will arrive quite possibly this coming Tuesday. The ads were published in several localized google homepages for a short period of time before being removed from the site.

Note that Apple promotes it’s products with text based ads on Google homepage but this time the ads appeared much before the launch and updation of the Apple Store site which lead to the leak.

In all likelihood they are real Apple advertisements, which came in a little too early, but calm down because it contains nothing more, except for a lowered Mac Mini price.

When the ads were clicked, they pointed to a dead link of an Apple Store which hadn’t been updated with new and upcoming products at that time and according to Google Translate they read: “Apple’s Newest MacBook. Thinner, lighter and faster! Free delivery. Order today,” “Apple’s New Mac mini. Faster and more affordable than ever. From only € 499 ($723). Order immediately.” and “The Brand new iMac. Ultra Thin 20 & 24 inch models. From only €1099 (roughly $1,063). Apple Store.”

For those who have already started off with the calculations on how much cheaper will it be now to buy a new Mac mini that they have been eyeing for long, let me help you with the facts. The new Mac mini will be available at €100 (or $145) less than the cheapest Mac mini. Now that’s some news to celebrate.

A similar set of ads in other countries also hinted on the same. Italian Google.com homepage had the new €1,099 iMac ad. German and Austrian Google.com homepages had ads which hinted at a “new white MacBook.”

So with all the hype generated by Apple, the countdown for the new notebooks by Apple has begun.
