Mobvoi TicWatch GTK launches with up to 10 days of battery life at a budget price

Mobvoi has presented the TicWatch GTK, an affordable smartwatch with a 1.3-inch display. Supposedly, the TicWatch GTK should last up to 10 days between charges too and supports over 100 pre-loaded watch faces.

Mobvoi has launched a new smartwatch in China, the TicWatch GTK. Not currently available outside Mobvoi's home market, the TicWatch GTK is available through JD.com for CNY 299 (~US$47). It is unclear when Mobvoi will launch the TicWatch GTK globally.

Mobvoi claims to have built the TicWatch GTK around a metal body, which is 9.8 mm thick. The TicWatch GTK supports 20 mm watch straps and has a 1.3-inch display that resolves at 240 x 240 pixels. Mobvoi claims that the smartwatch is water-resistant to 5 ATM too, a standard common across many of its GT smartwatches.

Additionally, the TicWatch GTK offers up to 10 days of battery life, 14 exercise modes and music playback control via a paired smartphone. The company adds that the TicWatch GTK contains a 24/7 heart rate monitor as well, along with sleep monitoring capabilities.

The company pre-loads over 100 watch faces onto the TicWatch GTK, but it only sells the smartwatch in one colour. Orders in China should start shipping on December 24.
