Both the Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen) and RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro are available premium compact tablets while the Redmi K Pad is scheduled to debut this month. All three tablets have now been put to the test in popular titles Genshin Impact and Honor of Kings.

Although the Redmi K Pad has yet to officially make its debut, the premium compact tablet is already in reviewer hands in China and has now been tested alongside two of its closest rivals, the Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen) and RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro.

As tested by Novice Evaluation, the Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen) perhaps comes last in this test across two games, but it's close either way. In Honor of Kings, the Legion Y700 (4th Gen) manages an average frame rate of 119.9 FPS, the same as the Redmi K Pad, and an imperceptible tick away from the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro which stands strong at a full 120 FPS.

Unfortunately, however, the Lenovo tablet draws the most power at a massive 9.8 W. The RedMagic tablet is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite but draws just 6.2 W, while the Redmi K Pad shows off the Dimensity 9400+'s stellar efficiency with a 5.7 W power draw. The Redmi tablet runs coolest too at 42.8 °C vs the RedMagic's 45.3 °C and the Legion Y700's 45 °C.

It's more of the same in Genshin Impact. All three tablets average 119.9 FPS, but the Legion Y700 (4th Gen) draws the most power (8.5 W) while the Redmi K Pad pulls just 6.9 W versus the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro's 7.5 W.  Temperature-wise, the RedMagic tablet runs the hottest here, with a peak temperature of 45.2 °C, while the Redmi K Pad maxes out at 43 °C and the Legion Y700 a touch cooler at 42.9 °C.

Evidently, there's little separating the three tablets. They all perform as well as any Android device can be expected to, thanks to their flagship chipsets. The Redmi K Pad, however, showcases a clear advantage in the efficiency department, with the Lenovo Legion Y700 being its polar opposite. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet offers a strong balance, although one would expect it to run cooler than it does considering its higher price point.
